Hi i have recently came to know about memory palace and start to built it and i have a doubt that i have created my home and i keep 2 cupboards in my room for daily life and study and where i store each information like a book so do i need something to improve and i feel like im missing something and cant put to use correctly
Try using more of a route instead of putting a lot of things in a small space like a cupboard. I use small spaces along my house but you probably don’t want to only keep reusing a small space.
Try to make a few more like a journey outside around your house in a circle. At a park, work, a restaurant etc. Then when you have a bigger selection you can use some for temporary things to remember and then switch to using others so the location will reset after a day or so and you can reuse it. For anything permanent to remember keep that for the data. Some people use paintings movie scenes and video games for virtual palaces but that doesn’t work for everyone. I prefer somewhere Ive been and could easily mentally walk through each station quickly.
