Some of those questions can’t really be answered, save for the most frustrating, wishy-washy reply there is: It depends.
How easy is it to score good? It depends. If you have a handle on the technique, study the right information, and take the exam when your mind and body are decently ready it should be easy.
How much time can you save? That really depends on how hard it was to learn the specific kind of information in the first place. The mind palace, for example, let’s you put something into long term memory right away. The things you place there aren’t guaranteed to stick around and you will have to occasionally review them so they become semi-permanent.
How many words can you learn in an hour? Impossible to say. I could probably manage a dozen, for you it might be one or a hundred.
You don’t truly learn something until you actually use it. Memory is very important, but it’s impossible to know your way to mastery.
