How to remember details about people ?

Hi Folks

I understand techniques to remember names, faces, phone numbers, birth dates, address for one person.

I am now trying to understand how to store this informatoon for say 30 families ?

I am thinking a memory palace where each family shows up at specific place and I then store all of that family information at their home or location I met them. Is there any other alternative ? Does memory palace has fast recall? Or do i need some grid system where name points to a specific cell/room with specific virtual memory palace ?

Another issue i have is: once I start using more memory palaces, how do I organize or remember which memory palace stores what info ? At what number of palaces, do I need to use memory city approach ?

I have never needed to remember things about that many people, but what I do when I meet people that have details I care to remember is to create a memory palace just for them. I choose whatever place that I associate with them, for example my dad’s palace is his office, my sister is her apartment.

I find it very fast to recall whatever I need. I have never worried about how to organized my palaces, I just know them but I’ve heard of people writing them down.

All of that said, I don’t really have that many palaces nor are there enough people that I care to remember things about, and those that I do care it’s only a few things, so maybe this won’t be too useful for you.
