I started to learn memory techniques, and I sometimes used some times the memory palace it was great for a short speech and remembering just a few facts to answer a test. However, I have struggled to create images in my memory palace to remember more information than I used to need. I don’t need to remember verbatim, just to remember the order of the speech and the central idea with a couple of examples. Any tips for me in this case?
Hello Cordeiro.tiago, my personal method for memorizing texts or speeches consists of selecting key words from the text and remembering them in a sequence. Then, I try to remember the original text from these key words. You may not remember the exact text right away, but with practice and memory techniques, you will be able to achieve it. First, read the text several times and divide it into sections. You should familiarize yourself with the text before you start memorizing the key words. Don’t stress or obsess over finding the perfect word, just go with the flow and choose the words that you consider important.
