Are you memorizing the meanings from something like the list on this page?

Not really. I have a few books on Lenormand that I use.

Oops I don’t know how to edit my posts.Anyway I have a list that I would like to use and it’s from the “petit Lenormand encyclopedia " and the " the complete lenormand oracle handbook”

I’m curious on why do you want to memorize this.

Anyways, if you’re familiarized with the method of loci, it could be as simple as using a mental place for card and a location within the place for each 10 meanings. 360 meanings, 360 locations.

You can always reduce “locations” by for instance choosing 36 location within a mental place then you convert into “cue associated mental image per meaning” (mnemonic image) and each relate to each one of the meanings per card with the link system method: 36 locations, 11 mnemonic images per locations > one mnemonic image for the card and then 10 mnemonic images related to that particular card mnemonic image.

I’m curious, really. I don’t believe in the existence of anything supernatural, magic or transcendent without a physical properties (understood or not, tangible or not).

Not that it matters to me, but I wouldn’t like to help someone decieve others for not greater universal good.

I did/do use memory palaces but I have issues creating mnemonic images. It takes me for ever.I do try to think of images based on similarity of the syllable sounds but I get stuck especially when it comes to abstract words. I think my main issue is creating images.

Thanks

Here check the post in which I made this answer: Abstract words - #3 by InMyMemoryWorld

Thanks for this.Unfortunately even if I try what you suggested in your post I get stuck almost right away. I’m probably too thick but if I were to try to turn a word into an image it would take me full 3 hours if I’m lucky. Say the word “conversation” I wouldn’t be able to think of any image even with fool proof instructions.

I do appreciate your help anyway.

It can take practice to be able to create images quickly.

I’d try to not rely on the mnemonics too much. If you had to remember the word “conversation” without memory techniques it would probably take less than 3 hours.

Try remembering the word “conversation” without mnemonics but also picture two people having a conversation inside of the image of the card.

The mnemonic image doesn’t have to be elaborate. Who is the first person you think of when you think of the word “conversation”? Where are you having that conversation? That first image that comes to mind can be the mnemonic image, since your mind will probably follow the same path next time you do those two steps. Link that mnemonic image with the card image by visualizing it in the card image. Even if you think you will forget it, it will become easier with practice.

When you go to recall, you might find that the word is on the tip of your tongue and that the image of people having a conversation is what allows you to find the word in your memory.

Spaced repetition can help too.
