I created flash cards but I’m not sure where to go with memory techniques. How do I use them so I can remember my cards? Is there like a step by step process?

Side note: I will never use physical flashcards again. An app with spaced repetition is far more efficient and therefore more rewarding.
Some people use flashcards as a memorization tool; effectively, through repetition they brute force memorize things.
To incorporate mnemonics, you can have a separate explicit step for memorizing the information. This could be right before you enter the information in the flashcard app, or the first time the app presents the concept. This way, you force the use of flashcards only as a review tool, not as a learning tool.
If you don’t remember a concept multiple days in a row, you have not memorized it effectively, and you need to relearn it using a different mnemonic.
