How to combine Letter Shape and First Letter Method? Examples within

Does anyone have any suggestions on the list below? I want to combine the First letter Method and the Letter Shape method to make things easier

So far I’ve gotten this far:

A = Antenna

B = brassiere

C = Croissant

But need to fill out the rest and would love your help:

D = crescent moon ( new = Duck bill)

E = comb ( new = ?)

F = scythe ( new = ?)

G = sickle ( new = ?)

H = chimney pot ( new = ?)

I = candle ( new = ?)

J = hockey stick ( new = ?)

K = sign post ( new = ?)

L = L-square ( new = ?)

M = fedora ( new = ?)

N = crank handle ( new = ?)

O = doughnut ( new = ?)

P = sword with hilt ( new = ?)

Q = hoop and stick ( new = ?)

R = pincers ( new = ?)

S = snake ( new = Snake)

T = sledgehammer ( new = Snake)

U = horseshoe ( new = U-turn )

V = hand fan ( new = ?)

W = badminton birdie ( new = ?)

X = diabolo ( new = X-crossing)

Y = martini glass ( new = ?)

Z = folding rule ( new = ?)

Some of my lists, all First Letter Method:

Do you know the method of loci and storymethod? Try memorizing these 50 letters with those two techniques:

Divided by 2 for 25 places

Kd gO xs bj Qn Nv RU eY Zc oC iG mB uE IW LF XT Vy Pq kM Sd xz PW BT zZ bB

Divided by 5 for 10 places:

KdgOx sbjQn NvRUe YZcoC iGmBu EIWLF XTVyP qkMSd xzPWB TzZbB

Algorithm:

  1. Create your place
  2. Select 25 or 10 places
  3. Then if you select 25 places: in each mingle the “locus” with two letter MI (mnemonic image). If you select 10 places: mingle the locus with five mi already mingled with the storymethod.

Have fun!

thanks for your help. I am still going to try my method to blend the two as it seems easier for me . I am novice here. I have used the loci / story method and it is also good

It looks great for a PAO system. I will copy your table by the way. That might be good for memorizing things other than numbers.

@charliemac Gotta tell you. You came to something I’ve never done myself. All I did was use nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc. beginning with each letter. But this is creative. But it doesn’t seem difficult. Just tedious. May require a little imagination, of course. Your letter “P” for instance, starts with a sword with a hand cover hilt. Perhaps a "PEWTER rapier(sword). Your “O” could ORANGE donut. Why not? Your “I” could be perhaps INFUSED candle. Give these a try. Hell. I actually would resort to a thesaurus or dictionary. That’s what is so great about this practice; your answer is the correct answer. That’s how I learned binary code and even the placements by number of the alphabet. Try anything. You can’t make any mistakes with figuring this out. You just test what you like and don’t like. :+1:t6:
