As a memory enthusiast, it got me wondering: how long is your longest palace?

I’ve recently been thinking about creating a palace with 400 locations from a path I used to take when I was little. I thought it would be a fun little goal to challenge myself.
My longest has 250 locations. On each I store a 4 digit number. In total this gives me 1000 digits of Pi.
But I must say, I highly prefer shorter routes <50
I’m at 243 out of a planned 283 for a book I’m memorizing. What are you planning on using 400 loci for?
Just more storage space. Maybe I could use it to learn an online course or something. Its also an nice mountain to climb…a nice goal to set, to really challenge myself.
I only have one palace (40 points) and I’ve been using it consistently to practice memorizing numbers quickly. I’m currently at level 7, able to memorize 50 numbers in one minute. I plan to open more palaces when I reach level 8 or 9 because, for now, I only need one palace.
I use multiple memory palaces, but my longest is 242 for the countries and independent protectorates of the world.
There are 214 in my memory palace for Chinese vocabulary based on the radicals for the characters, the method by which they are organised given there is no alphabet.
I neither case would I reel off all the locations as I do for 1000 digits of Pi (I have 6 digits per location, so shorter). The two longest palaces are data that I jump to locations when need them, rather than consider the whole palace at once.
Biggest is 1050 (used for PAO originally, then expanded and now half of my history memory palace).
How interesting. I haven’t counted my history palace, but it is nowhere near that many locations, but now you are making me think about locations within locations - are they locations too? So a window in the history palace is a king while a tree is a Chinese dynasty.
The palace is structured chronologically. I think of each section as a location (reduces from 250 years via a few stages to 25 years then to a single year by the end). But within each location are places which act as specific events - so they are locations too, I guess.
I must rethink. If I look at the spreadsheet I use as a planner, there are about 500 lines, so my total events and locations is a bit less than that.
1050 locations for history! Wow! I am inspired to get adding!
Mostly it’s “recycling”, since I already had thousand stations (and conveniently already numbered) to learn my PAO and I just decided to add historical events there.
That’s why I have one station per year, but it may be “overkill” (especially in ancient history, dates often aren’t that precise) it just was convenient because the memory palace was already there. The part I added afterwards (1000 BC and older) I have big stations (zones) for centuries and then several substations (loci) inside them.
So really it depends how you count 
Edit: also not all stations are filled even if they are all ready because PAO (Darcy 705 BC already has an event attached to him, but his neighbour Thorgal 704 has not).
How fantastic. I’ll think through what you said and maybe reduce some of my 25 year loci to single years to be accurate. I tend to use my Dominic System numbers at the loci to add an accurate date if I want one.

Lynn what did you sort your list of countries by? I suppose size and alphabet are most common. Maybe population.
Alphabet doesn’t give you any more information because you already know the letter starting the country name. Populations is really useful. Location 8 is Bangladesh - I was shocked that it was so large population-wise. I use this list:
Sorry if it pastes rubbish in the link. It did last time I added it. When things change - India is now bigger than China - I add to the story. I don’t try to move them in the palace because they are stuck in place!

I would like to make a large palace for my childhood town.
Yesterday when i was planning for it i forgot to go over the bridge and i also forgot a few buildings with spots. So it will grow larger.
My memory palaces so far do not have emotions attached to them but this has a mixture of emotions attached to them.
A memory palaces of corners, doors, chairs is different to a memory palaces including locations where you went on a date as a teenager!
