I use vim / markdown plus my own scripts to manage, sort, display in a webpage etc. Far from perfect, but I can change stuff whenever I like, and it works for me.

I’ve been using obsidian + excalidraw for two years now, daily. I’ve tried other drawing systems, always for mind mapping, and so far this is the best combination to me. I can’t show professional diagrams for confidential reasons, but this is the mind map of the book “4000 weeks”. I also use Johnny Decimal for categorizing my notes, (I have 1,325 documents now in my vault) and I strongly recomend using Jonny Decimal or a similar system for long term storage. To me, md files are a must, and I always export my excalidraw diagrams to PDF, in a view to preserve them over the decades ahead.
