Hello German Language Learners

I’m getting settled in Vienna and have to start learning German. I started working on the wiki page:
Mnemonic Techniques for Learning German.

The first thing I’m hoping to do is categorize words and grammar so I can place them in my memory palaces or memory towns.

Does anyone have ideas about how we could organize German grammar and vocabulary? Examples:

  • Nouns -- masculine, feminine, neuter. These could go in three different sections of a memory palace/town
  • Plurals -- how are nouns pluralized? Are there groups or patterns?
  • How many verb conjugation groups?
  • Is there any regularity to verb conjugation exceptions, or is it complete chaos -- and how can memory techniques solve that problem?
  • Sein vs. haben -- which verbs take which? In English we say, "I have to...", but in German, there are two seperate words:
    • Ich habe gegessen... vs.
    • Ich bin gegangen.
  • Etc.

What other ways can the language elements be categorized so that memory palaces could be well-designed?

I’m excited to uncover this page. I need to thank you for your time for this, particularly fantastic read!! I definitely really liked every part of it and I also have you saved to fav to look at new information in your site.
