Fill in blank flash cards Q

so i’ve been using anki, where i’ll leave the term _ and defintion in the front of the flash card. so i see it and then i associate the term to the defintion. sometimes i’ll have the term visible and then the 2 or 3 key points in the defintion _. this works for me, and i write my flashcards in my own words.

my question is i know peg list and memory palace are great. and if i have a list of facts on a piece of paper, i’d use those. but i thought i’d ask you memory experts can fill in the blank cards be a good tool to memorize facts? thanks
