Exercises to improve visual memory

I have tried the method of loci i have succeeded in some way in the sense that at the end i was able to memorize a deck of 48 cards in 20 minutes but i couldn’t memorize things that were usefuls like vocabulary or things related to any kind of studies or books but what stroke me the most is how difficult it was to exercice my visual memory in the sense my ablity to visualize solely by relying on training.
So I am asking for visualizatoin exercices that would improve the vividness of my imagination or my ablity to imagine visualy.

Hi Chuck,

Try closing your eyes and visualizing a sphere with a black dot on one side rotating.

Then try the same on a triangle w/different colored sides, then a square.

Then move up to a simple animal, Ex. sparrow then more complex things
