Easy guinness world record in memory to many people

very strange that its a guinness world record, how just 5004 digits ? i think every person with a good natural memory like me, or other people which have techniques, can break it : Most decimal places of Phi (golden ratio) memorized | Guinness World Records so many people can, so it strange to me that this is the record, just 5004 digits

5004 digits with a good natural memory? I doubt that’s possible. As for the record, I guess we’d need to see how long it took, I’m pretty sure many people have memorized more than 5004.

yes, i remember 5062 digits from natural memory, so its possible

What was your method for remembering 5000+ digits without memory techniques? You just did rote memorization? How long did it take to memorize?

Rote memorization, yes, and i also repeated all each days, first 4 days were 125 digits a day, after it 175 digits a week, and after it until now 150 digits a week

Do you have any form of synesthesia etc? Surely if the numbers were purely abstract to you, it would be quite difficult to remember such a long sequence

i don’t have any form of synesthesia, i have asperger syndrom, this is a little bit related to the very good natural memory i have. i will tell you this, its easier to me to memorize its as digits/numbers, memory techniques not going for me good, and what i see as the biggest advantage is the speed of recall, since i memorize directly as digits/numbers and don’t have any sort of conversion, then the recall also a lot faster
