Do you drink coffee?

I typically don’t drink coffee. I find when I do I will usually randomly have one coffee and then drink daily for the next 2-4 weeks until I find myself consuming 3-4 cups and decide why am I drinking coffee and take a break.

I have seen people experiment using theanine and other supplements. Do you or do you not drink coffee? How about ginkgo, theanine or other supplements?

I drink coffee, but limit myself to one cup in the morning, and am trying to switch to oolong and green tea.

I don’t know if it helps with memory or not, but theanine is found in tea, which is probably cheaper than supplements.

From what I’ve read, it seems like ginkgo doesn’t help with memory. Some ginkgo supplements don’t even contain ginkgo.

I try to limit myself to one but find myself usually getting more. I probably struggle with moderation. I have a brother-in-law always researching and trying to new supplements. He always tries to get me on them… I usually believe in simple hard-work and attitude. Although I have tried theanine with coffee and thought it was energy without any anxiousness sometimes attributed.

In general I believe supplements = $$$ + unverified products
Maybe I’ll try one cup a day again soon

The evidence appears to support that (scroll down for more links).

I occasionally drink coffee/tea and feel it sometimes helps with alertness which indirectly boosts my cognitive abilities (incl. memory).

Theanine is said to increase the release of dopamine and serotonin, common neurotransmittors that reduces stress and increases cognitive abilities. So yes, supplements containing the active ingredient should have the same effect as natural products. Although I’ve never taken any supplements myself, I’m interested in the concept of enhancing bodily functions.

Coffee and tea are extremely widespread so they must have some enhancing abilities…

I don’t. I just don’t like it.
