Do Chinese speakers have less aphantasia?

Hi. I didnt know this. I see easily images but are not totally real. Are like a strange thing. I don’t know about aphantasia but I think you gave one possible answer. I can see images mentally but draw it. help me a lot. Maybe you can draw it for help. As you say are like 2d images. Draws are 2d images. Maybe you can’t see it in the mind but drawing by hand is another kind of memory kinestesic

Hi. How do you use palaces to study it or the others things? You use mind maps or some thing like that first?

Chinese must be very difficult. All is difficult. I would use duo lingo. Or Google translator for pronunciation. And then self explanations meta cognitive. And draw by hand for the symbols. But the grammar must be very difficult. As whichever grammar. But worst. For that the palace must be very useful.

I must admit that drawing the characters makes a big difference. I must do it more often. I say my little stories as I draw them. Eventually, I recognise them without the stories. Grammar, I say the order out loud. Chinese is very strict on grammatical order, which makes it a bit easier.

I read an article by Anthony Metivier where he used 3x5 notecards and drew a colored owl in a colored shoe to remember an item using a pegword rhyme system. 1 was sun/bun or gun. 2 was a shoe. 3 was a tree. 4 was a door, etc.

Since I have trouble with visualization in my head, I draw on notecards with multicolored pens, then occasionally review the data. This has helped me tremendously.
