So I have been trying to do this. I have made it to 01 lol. 00 is Ice Cube (the rapper) for me. He isn’t really memorable but it’s the best I had for the sounds given. 01 was sid vicious (the wrestler). The problem I am running into is difficult to explain. How do I assign what these people are doing? Wtf am I supposed to imagine Ice Cube doing? Rapping with a potato? or Sid Vicious stabbing something with scissors (he once got in a fight with another wrestler and stabbed him with scissors trying to kill him)? I don’t know, I think I am just making it way to hard on myself. Either way this is the 3rd day of on/off work on this and I have that much accomplished.

It is the correct way of doing it. So you are doing the right.
However, the hardest part of creating a PA or PAO is to find the correct actions.
You can look more into Linking methods by searching on the forum. The links will give you the actions.
Let me give you a couple of methods which may help;
With linking 2 items, it’s known as Paired-Linking, if used more than 2 then it becomes Chain-Linking such as PAO, or OaOaOa etc.
With using the Persons, what I do is to think of what he naturally does.
So if 00 is;
- Ice-Cube as in Person
- and Ice-Cube as in Object,
- and his usual Action is singing
then you may think of the Ice-Cube as an Ice-Cube Shaped Microphone,
and he maybe Holding it while he is singing into the Ice-Cube-Mic.
This will work, but since there is no emotions involved, it may not be as vivid or memorable as it should be. So here is where you can be a little more creative to make it more memorable. You may imagine him singing to the Mic, and the Ice-Cube melting into water running down his hand, wet and slippy.
01 The Wrestler with his Object Scissors.
His action can be Cutting or Chopping the next object.
Again, add a little creativity into it, and perhaps it could be;
He is cutting the object and Blood Squirting out of the Object.
This will be more memorable then just cutting the object with scissors .
So you PAs could be;
00 01: Singer holding scissors with blood pouring from it.
01 00: Wrestler singing to the Ice-Cube-Mic melting into water.
PAO could be;
00 01 00: Singer Cutting (with scissors ) the Ice-Mic melting into water
01 00 01: Wrestler Singing into a Scissor with blood pouring out.
what happens when you can’t find an action?
Create one, and keep it for that particular person and the object, and Not re-use the same action with any other.
When creating a new action for a person and his object that doesn’t have anything special about it, then create an action that could be very funny or very violent, or surprisingly disturbing, but maybe funny or violent at the same time.
Let’s say you can’t find an action for the person Ice-Cube Singer with his object Ice-Cube;
Let’s see how we can be creative by using the 3 methods I mentioned;
Funny;
Singer is putting his head into the Ice-Cube, and his head becomes the Cube.
Violent
Punch it, Slash it with Knife, Kick it, Bite it, Shoot it with a gun.
Surprise/Disturbing/Funny
Singer is Urinating on the ice-cube. Pooping on it. etc.
Here is another one I use which I call “The Super Hero Powers Method”
This is when I can’t find anything special but want a memorable action, and I use a special power of a Super-Hero such as Superman, Batman, Spiderman etc;
So let’s say you want to use a hero power on your singer;
You may imagine him Eye-Lasering the Ice-Cube and melting into water. Just like Superman does.
This action then can be used with your Wrestler, this time He is Eye-Lasering whatever the object, but you know that if a person is using an Eye-lasering action, it belongs to the digits 00.
The super-hero power method is one of the ten method I use in my system. But the above ideas should get you started with finding and applying actions to your persons and objects.

Holy crap. Thanks a lot Erol. I’ll definitely give the linking methods a search and incorporate your tips into my process. I went for a run to see if that would get the ol creative juices oozing around and came back to a goldmine of info.

I ran into another very small roadblock… If the first thing that pops into my mind for a number is a object and not a person… how do I go about that? Do I just come up with a person that my mind decides goes with it or am I supposed to always use a person? An example of this was originally I kept getting Acid for 01 instead of Sid Vicious and forced myself to continue brainstorming for someone who fit the profile for 01 and got him. Should I have used acid or should I always go for a person?
Write it down. Have a spreadsheet for your persons, actions and objects.
Make a note of each object, or person or action, and then update your spreadsheet.
Your persons does not have to be created by it’s phonetic sounds. Major gives you the phonetics, but it is also difficult to find a person with the phonetics when it doesn’t make any sense that you can attach to a person. It’s always an issue.
What you can do is to independently think of a person that either;
Sounds like | Looks like | Reminds you of the person | Phonetic | Dominic | Independent.
As an example to create persons;
00 sounds like: Zorro.
00 Looks like: Tyres, so you can think of your Local Tyre-man
00 Reminds me of: Ozy Osbourne
00 Phonetic: SalSa-Dancing-Girl
00 Dominic: Olive Oyl
00: Independant: Your teacher, Doctor, Lawyer, Superman, anyone you think it fits to your own thinking. The rest is just practice.
So think independently, 07 could be James-Bond, because of the digits 007 reminds you of him.
When you get a Eureka moment with an Object or a person, or an action, just write it down, and update it on your spreadsheet.

ok I couldn’t make sense of if we were able to mix and match the systems or not. Dominic system is a whole lot easier for me to create the people with for sure. Especially the 0’s. the teens may not be so bad but I am having to force myself to remember that the persons name doesn’t have to start with the consonant sounds on the major system. I assume that will go away with more time spent with it.

It does. What you practice more of, you’ll remember more of.
Once you put some practice into it, you’ll immediately see your first two digit as the person, and the next two digit as the major object-action. You won’t get confused.

It sounds like you are getting the Major system mixed up with the Dominic system. With the Major system, you don’t need names of individuals. You just need a word that fits the pattern s-t. So acid is a good choice. Or seaweed, scythe, Saudi, soda, stew…
It’s just as easy (maybe better and more vivid) to picture seaweed doing something as Sid Vicious.
And for a verb, pick something that fits the s-t pattern. I like hoist, but you can use sit, sweat, soothe, stow…
One of the advantages of the Major System is you are free to use all words instead of jus the names of people.

No, you don’t need to use persons in your system.
I don’t use persons in my system.
I have pre-made actions for each of my objects as to what it does to the next.
As “elswithers” explained, the major system also can be used without any persons. It’s up to the individual’s preference. A lot of people find it easy to use Persons in their system such as the PA and PAO users. And a lot of them don’t use persons.

I had only one image in the major system before and everything was mixed up sometimes number was a person an object or place. Recently I finished a person’s action and objects. And I had this kind of feeling that persons are more memorable. So I think its worth including them into the system. I also found animals quite nice to memorize and recall but maybe in the future, I will create a separate set for that as well. What I found is that some guys are using mnemonics to person, action, and object. And some are using the only mnemonic system to the person but action and object are whatever connect well with the person without mnemonics in words. I created the first type of system and it was hard. but I’m super curious how the second one could work. And which approach has more benefits.
Right now I see that the first approach has benefits of quicker learning the system, and is easier to get to the action or object. Because every time letter is reminding you about person, action, or object. And reading numbers look like reading a book somehow.
So speaking about the system is good to think about the future. And upgrades you can later possibly do to the system. If you will start from attaching people into the first 100 numbers. And you will learn it, you can use it to memorize your numbers or lists. You can stay with something like that for a while and after some time if you will want to make another upgrade you can add actions and later objects.
I believe that It’s like upgrading your pc with a new hard drive. But the practice is the best upgrade you can do to your memory because more often you use the same images the quicker access to it you will get. And so your memorization time and recall time will go down. So training over and over the same images is like installing a super fast PCI SSD drive

Even more lovely information. Yes I was definitely mixing the two up and thought I HAD to have a person action and object for my numbers. So if I chose acid would I add a object to its action or just the action would be fine? I feel like I’m being a nuisance but I’m getting pretty hung up on the minor details and getting pretty frustrated with myself. Can’t get frustrated at the systems because they obviously work lol.
Firstly create 100 persons - and focus only and only on that.

If we are talking about actions: usually I imagine action with certain object. For example when somebody is destroying something he is doing it with a hammer. (but carefful here to not interfere with other objects). But sometimes when action is “giving” I imagnine it like the guy is standing with two hands pulled out. So this is some kind of a pose. Or “huging” is pose as well.
For now focus only on creating and practicing persons.

Ok… So an update… I have got a list of people almost finished. There are some gaps because I could not think of ANYONE that fit the initials of the dominic system. I also had a few where I only recognized the name and not really able to mentally picture them. I know that is not ideal but if I have to be able to picture each person then I have no way of doing it with his set of initials. Overall the number is less than 15 total that I only recognize the name of or do not have someone at all. What is my next move? and how am I supposed to be practicing them? should I go through and try to picture them all or should I just be doing rote memorization of the list?
Consider, where possible, the two letters as the first two in their first or last name. Also, sometimes the number itself can be easier to think of someone to associate.
Google pictures of that person. Find an iconic one.
There’s a method for doing this systematically with flashcards, using number on one side and name or picture on the other, but I just use Anki (which I’ll let someone else explain, if needed).
Thing to remember is that these are your fundamental pieces, like learning what 3 and 5 and 27 are for maths, so there is some learn-by-rote but it’s things you choose because that’s what’s most memorable to you, to make it easier.
If you learn them in small, random sets at a time, you can test yourself by creating numbers using just them (try in batches of three, then check) or using just images of each until you quickly know that number is Albert Einstein and Albert Einstein is that number. Turning the number to AE (and vice versa) is your backup plan if you can’t recall it, which is most useful early on or if you have a mental block otherwise.
Others will have better instructions, though! (I’m a bit rushed today, sorry!)

I just made up two names in coming up with 00-99 using the major system.
Just to illustrate: 37 is Magnus Carlsen and 73 is Veronica Mars and 98 is Ben Franklin. So I’m using first and last name initials.
I was stuck, because of some other constraints, on 26 and 51. The other constraints are: I didn’t want two chess players or two female tv characters or two physicists or two Formula One drivers or so on.
So I made up Nils Jackson for 26 and Lisa Tiguan for 51. Lisa is an imaginary Yoga teacher and Nils is an imaginary childhood friend. They turn out to be among the stickiest names in the P’s in my PAO.
