After using it for awhile, I noticed that the Action piece tends to slow me down in both encoding and decoding. Person and Object are easy because they are more concrete. So, I started tinkering with some POO systems.
I tried a few things and ended up with something I call PIE (Person, Inedible object, Edible object). This is also based on Major system conversions. So, for example:
47: Rocky, rook, racoon
91: Batman, bat (sports), bat (animal)
70: Casper, gas, eggs
Once I complete and refine PIE, I’ll share it here, too. Meantime, I could use your help on 54. I need a (technically) edible object with leading consonants of L and R. LaRd would work except it doesn’t seem very visually distinctive to me.
Perhaps if you used “whaler” (large boat for hunting whales or the name of a NHL hockey team) and “lard” together, one might help suggest the other as whales have lots of blubber, which is essentially what lard is. I also think if you bought a small hunk of lard and used it (to make refried beans or an apple pie perhaps), it would help you better visualize it. In particular, it’s very easy to remember smearing things with a thick layer of lard, once you’ve had some experience with it. Perhaps thinking of Crisco which is lard-like may help?
Thanks everyone. Maybe I can visualize lard as chrisaldrich suggests.
Right now, I’m just completing PIE for the numbers I use to memorize card decks. This will be my test to verify that I can go faster without having to use an Action.
If it is successful, I’ll convert the rest of the grid and share here.
