One piece can help a lot to make images of abstract concepts.

For example how would your remember the word return? For those who have watched One Piece it is very simple.

There is a character which appeared in one of the One Piece movies. She ate the modo modo no mi fruit which granted her the ability to make people young again. The name of her fruit comes from the word modoru which means return.

You might be up to something here.
One Piece has lots of themes and patterns that recur as the story unfolds. The names of characters and places aren’t random either. As each arc explores specific settings, there’s also a good amount of palaces one could construct based on them.
Linking abstract concepts to certain images from the series, so that more concrete imagery is readily available, is an interesting idea indeed. This approach could also be used with material from other series, of course.
