Motivation appears when your enviroment encounters a chance to improve.
The expectation for the emprovement’s outcome is compared as an necessary change of reality by value as worth or not worth taking the next step towards action in witch case:
YES - is processed and dopamine is prepared in the brain for the “yes” side of the decision process and it becomes worth doing process after it is initiated having the account as you see that decision beeing right and certainty turns into action and initiate the accountability of doing the act having been decided in that direction and the process becomes more important than all other processes and motivation kicks in giving it priority over the current existing plans and circumstances initiating the enviroment improvement process.
No - is selected as the desired outcome based on the value that the enviroment’s change is worth in relation to the effort of putting aside all curent plans or circumstances in whitch case Serotonin(the opposite of dopamine) is prepared in the brain making the process boring and not worth the energy.
Both positive and negative options are visited in ALL situations and can steal happiness for it implied rejection, disgust and anger.
Calmness is key, only with a balanced level of excitement and calmness a decision can be taken without anger setting in.
