Classification From Links

I spent a while trying to understand the differences/similarities between the various (non-encoding) methods. Eventually I decided this makes sense as an easy visual.

I realize I am reinventing the wheel - I see many people that have already worked on mnemonic classification (from which I liberally borrowed). I also realize that there is infinite nuance present, links can branch, etc; Additionally, this image contains overlapping categories (indexed pegs are chained anyway), and there are other problems. However, despite all the deficiencies, if I just saw this image in the beginning of reading the forums, I think it would have helped me not get as lost/confused. So I leave it here in case it helps someone else.

@ink, I’m happy to see you like the analysis which I enjoy. Definitions and visuals help out tremendously. I wanted that also when I started. I posted my journey on that here also and came up with some different results. I hope you come up with some good learning aids!
