categorized, uncoded, obejct-action (AO) system

Aloha,

i just signed up here and I am also pretty new at the memory business.
Currently I am reading the book “Erfolgsgedächtnis (Success Memory)” from Dr. Gunther Karsten. I also read a lot here and at the website of Florian Dellé (memory-sports).

After sucking up all these awesome information I wanted to have a PAO system too, so I started looking for something that fits my needs.
I didn’t want a 3 digit system at this time, because of the huge amount of images to learn.
I found some pretty good PAO´s I think, but I thought it would not be that fun for me to learn and work with these strange, incoherent images and word combinations.
So I thought over the whole thing; I am pretty bad at long term memorizing characters which doesn’t play any present role in my life.
I also assumed that after learning all the images it wouldn’t really matter if they are coded or not, I think this is only useful for learning the images faster at the beginning. Correct me if I am wrong!

So after playing with the major system, I decided to not use any coding at all, instead I want to learn all images with a palace I am currently building in sketch up, and with a categorie system, this allows full control over the images. (I got this idea from the Website of Florian Dellé, pretty nice stuff, thanks for the inspiration) This also lets me use the major system for some other applications.

Furthermore I decided to not use a specific person layer in my System, instead I can use persons as objects if i want to.
I also often integrate my self in the story, what I think both helps a lot to be really flexible, and it is lots of fun too.
Every category tells a specific story, i already have imagined some pretty fun content, some fantasy stuff; fighting, awesome creatures, victory and some sexual scenes of course.
I also got some other categories, most has to do with the basic human instincts; eating, sex, fighting, victory, fear, humor, social stuff etc. It’s really fun. I promise.

I am using just 2 digits and 2 images what limits my storage per locus (if i just store one thing) to 4 digits per locus.
Well this is less than 6 or 9 but since i just want to use this for personal use, fun and not for getting a world champion this fits perfect for me.

I have really no idea if this will work out well, it perhaps will be challenging to learn and to recall the images on their own, we’ll see.
I am also not sure if the actions and objects will fit in any case, i did not use any list, i just took what came in my head.
I saw some potential problems there, but let’s see, probably with some more creativity this will also work out well.
I am planning to design the whole thing so that it is upgradable in any direction as well. This perhaps will be challenging too.

Now i shared my thoughts with the community, I hope for some good suggestions and if you guys want me to, I can keep you up to date.
I’ll visualize everything I can at my computer, i already got a load of pictures, and i’ll try to build models and maps for most of my palaces.

So let me know what you think and if you are interested in the progress and development of my little project.
I would also love to hear if someone has made expierences with a similar system or sth.

Sorry for potentially messed up english. I am getting better^^

Hi blueprint. It may work.
But I think that it won’t be easier.
How you plan to decode numbers to images ? Memory Palace ?

Yes, I also don’t think so.
It will need definitely more effort to learn but it also will be way more fun to use, I think.

Yes; I got category a,b,c… which represents numbers from 0-9, 00-09,10-19 etc.
To learn them I will put them into a imaginary palace. That’s it.
With the major system, after learning which word is which number, I didn’t had to use any coding anymore.
Or is there any other advantage? Does it influence the retrieval speed or sth?

There is no read advantage or disadvantage
I’d say, try it out and let us know how it works out for you.

in case you need any inspiration:

Ok, great. Thanks
