the topic seems pretty old, hopefully it can still be revived

I had 1000 images for 3 digit numbers, now expanded to include 1600 pairs. For pairs that start with with each face card i have a theme and not a mneumonic system. A♤ flight. Q♤ Africa countries, see above sample.
Obvious to me is that some palaces are better than others.
Can 52 pegs also be a journey or a palace? Beyond memorizing a deck in 26 images what else can be done with 2604 named memory images. I just wanted to see if i could expand my original 1000 3NRD list. What next?
Any thoughts?
My personal record in Cards is 15.53 seconds
lol
Wow very Nice
Unfortunately I haven’t been working on it much lately
7 min 26 cards (Still am quite new) I used a basic P system. (I am making a PA system)
hey, there? I didn’t get it… I search everywhere still I am missing something. what is PAO system and PA? plz link me or tell me.
Here’s a link to a page that explains the PAO system:
PA is just a simpler version of it (only Person-Action instead of Person-Action-Object).
5 minutes flat, using PAO
I think there are about 132000 possible ordered triplets (PAOs), so not sure the approach is worth it. This means at 17 triplets per deck it would be possible to come up with 7000 decks without repeating a single PAO. In practice you would see some PAO repetition, but I don’t think very much.
Someone check my math.
132600 possible 3-card combos to be exact (with no duplicate cards as in a single deck.)
52 x 51 x 50.
If you allow for multiple copies of each card (like a triplet composed of [2
][2
][2
]) there are 140608 combinations.
52 x 52 x 52.
If my math is correct, the frequency of a repeat of an exact triplet would be once in every 2704 decks.
Hello,
Today I did 2:48 min with only one error, finally under 3 min !
I started memorising decks of cards 20 days ago (28th April). First time it took me around 18min.
Will update when I’m past 2 min.
I’m still trying to figure out what’s the best way to manipulate the cards and not lose focus.
I’m using journeys that I know well, 2 cards per loci. I tried 3 cards for every loci once and did 4 min, it was considerably more difficult.
Any advice / comments would be much appreciated !
*Might not be the most recent thread on this subject, but it looks like is the most commented.*
I did 2:02 today with no errors. It feels like I could go under two minutes before the 30th day.
However my exams start tomorrow and I am not sure I will have time the next three days to try and make it, will update if I do or when I’m approaching 1:30.
Many pairs are easy to read as a single image, maybe they all should at a given time
Managed to go under 1 minute during a training session. Moving this fast is uncomfortable, but I pulled off perfect recall :
Today I did 1:51 with perfect recall.
I’m happy I made it to sub 2:00 on the 30th day.
