I have started studying for the ISQTB Certified Tester Foundation certification! I wanted to chronicle my journey.
I started by skimming the syllabus and writing down every list and how many items each had.
I calculated I needed 168 loci to store all the items across what I thought would be many memory palaces.
I am using 3 techniques I learned from Anthony:
- Be impartial (“slay the like/dislike monster”)
- Use the pillar technique (stack 3 pieces of information vertically to make more use of a single location)
- Use the sides and corners of a room
Surprise, surprise, the first palace I chose (my cousin’s house in Texas) had more than 174 loci following just those 3 techniques!
I was worried I would run out of memory palaces, only to find 1 was sufficient.
This is my tribute to Anthony.
