Hello, has anybody taken Ron White’s black belt memory course?
The reason I’m asking is because I want to know whether it can further help me with my memory training.
I am a beginner but I have decent knowledge on the peg system, memory palace, link method, etc. because I have been reading memory books on memory (Harry Lorayne’s, Josh Foer’s, etc) and I have also been practicing for over a month.
I saw that the course has good reviews but it was said that it was good for beginners. If the course would revolve around the basics of abovementioned techniques, then it would terribly be a waste of $197 because the only thing I would need to further my memory is practice and not a course.
Reach a level of mastery in all mnemonics known. Rare but some websites and some books are complete enough (this forum’s book, one of the many of late Tony Buzan, and one of Dominic O’Brain, some books feel like repetitions of the same).
Aid in social, strategic, data gathering or any niche activity that would benefit of a good memory. Mostly job and business relationships in video format.
Whatever spies do with and without gadgets, to achieve best excellence both discipline and memory are a good thing. Who teaches any of this?
Most of the deepest levels of inquiry and investigation you may find it on the forum. By self declare mnemonist and champions alike or experimenters like me.
When it comes to the history of the art of memory and memorization methods across, apart from the classics obviously, the modern take: 1. Lynne Kelly. 2. Frances Yates. 3. Jonathan D Spence, 4. Mary Carruthers. 5. Paolo Rossi, 6. Jocelyn P. Small, 7. Lina Bolzoni, 8. Yadin Dudai.
Since you already have the basics and are interested in an online course, I’d recommend John Graham’s course. He covers some of the same material, as well as new material, and does it differently than the books and other courses. It’s a different perspective that’s very helpful. Since I got it as part of a package, I’m not sure what it costs.
Hi everybody, no matter which course you take, you need to focus, learn and practice the techniques. Ron white has a beautiful way of teaching, is genuine, has put all his heart and soul in helping learn these techniques. I would recommend Ron white black belt memory course to anyone because of unique way of Ron delivering/teaching these techniques that help to grasp the content very quickly. There maybe many courses around but what matters is your focus and the way your mentor delivers it to you which Ron is very good at.
As a person he is very helpful too.
Hope it helps.
Thank you
