Hi competitors,

Welcome to the African-European Open! Please read the following information about the tournament.

Structure

You can see the championship structure on the championship page here: Memory League

Photos

If you haven’t previously done so, or you want to update your photo, please send me a photo of yourself for the championship pages. You can do this in a private message here in the forum, or email it to [email protected].

Scheduling Matches

When you have a qualification match to play:

  1. A “Scheduling” tab will be available in the championship pages, where you can indicate your available times by clicking boxes in the Availability table.
  2. You will be invited to a private message for you to arrange the match time with your opponent. There will also be a link to this message on the Scheduling page.
  3. When you have agreed on the match time, one of you should enter it on the Scheduling page so the match appears on the Home page.

Playing Matches

At the agreed time, write a comment on the Memory League home page to let your opponent know you are there. The player whose name appears first in the Scheduled Matches section has the first choice, and should challenge their opponent for the first game.

For the qualification tournament, the match ends when the score reaches any of the following:

  • 4:0
  • 4:1
  • 4:2
  • 4.5:1.5
  • 4.5:2.5
  • 4.5:3.5
  • 5:3

If the score reaches 4:4, play a tiebreak game (except in the last round). See page 12-13 of the World Tour Rules for details.

Good luck everyone!
