This thread is for asking questions to the 2024 IAM Board candidates.

The application deadline for the IAM Board passed yesterday, and the Election Committee has received 7 valid applications this time. The candidates are (with their respective continental region in parenthesis):

  • Charifa Souissi (Africa)
  • Don Michael Vickers (Americas)
  • Johannes Mallow (Europe)
  • Mohamed Ramadan (Africa)
  • Naoki Miwa (Asia)
  • Simon Reinhard (Europe)
  • Sven Wetzel (Europe)

Please ask any questions for the candidates below, or email them to [email protected]. Questions can be submitted until 2024-03-17T23:59:00Z (note: postponed by 2 days).

Questions may be directed to one or more specific candidates, or to all candidates. When you ask a question, please clearly state which candidate(s) it is for.

Candidates: Do not answer the questions here. When the question period is over, the election committee will email you the questions, and you should answer via email. The election committee will then publish all answers together.

  • 19 March 2024 (Tue) – Last day to register as an IAM member to be eligible to vote
  • 23 March 2024 (Sat) – Deadline for candidates to answer public questions (note: postponed by 1 day)
  • 24 March 2024 (Sun) – Candidate answers published (note: postponed by 1 day)
  • 24 March 2024 (Sun) – Voting opens
  • 30 March 2024 (Sat) – Voting closes
  • 31 March 2024 (Sun) – Announcement of election results

The deadline for the Q&A has now passed. The candidates now have until the 23rd of March to send their answers to the questions to the Election Committee, after which we will publish them on the IAM website, as well as here.
