We are coming to the end of 2011 and I was hoping this list would help you in your goal to become a Grandmaster of Memory in 2012. :slight_smile:

This list is not mine. I found it at Sqriblz: Major System English List

This is a list of English words for use with the Major system of mnemonics.

These are the nouns, verbs and adjectives from the Shorter Oxford English Dictionary of 1997, sorted according to their Major code, further sorted by part of speech.

It includes only words listed as current in the final third of the 20th century, excluding those with leading zeros, running from 0 to 999.

Wow! That is one giant and useful post.Found it with a search and what a great resource it is. Thanks a lot.

It occurs to me that by making one set of 100 pegs using only nouns and one set of 100 using only verbs, together they could produce 10,000 pegs, in a similar way to the Dominic system.
