What is the strongest component of an image for you?

I like to think of mnemonic images by categories that can be grouped into a visual sentence. In other words, a terrain contains a subject, doing an action, on an item/subject. The modifications (elaborations) we make to any of those give us details to make them stick better.

@vector brought up the point about contours being better than colors and I wanted to continue the thought here.

I read through the GMS and didn’t get much out of it but I do have to agree that when I recall something the shape or outline is one of the stronger details that I get. Uniqueness seems to be important also.

What are some of the qualities that are strongest in the images that you store? Shape, size, weather, clothing, actions (a type of subject elaboration without a direct object like sitting, standing, writing), emotion, sounds, features, etc? In other words, when you recall two different instances of a shoe, why would one shoe be unique and not be confused with the other shoe unless, of course, you want the shoe to be the same. Like a shoeshoe vs. a tennis shoe, or a doll’s shoe vs a military boot. Thanks for the nudge,

For me, the strongest component of an image is often the unique details that stand out and make it memorable, like the shape and action associated with it. For example, when posting dog pajamas, I find that the cute design, vibrant colors, and the posture or action of the dog wearing them really make the image stand out and resonate with my clients. It’s those small, distinctive features, like a dog sitting or playing in comfy pajamas - dog pajamas, that create a memorable visual impact.
