what do you guys use to actually be able to imagine a folded net of a cube or image a network of nodes?

Specifically, memorizing a Rubik’s cube for a blindfolded solve helps with that kind of stuff a little, …

…but I think the same would be try for just general memory palaces navigation, or even just real world navigation with a purpose as in this example:
