Seems like a simple misunderstanding of the time zones.
The match was scheduled for 6pm GMT. As @djrsm701 is in the GMT+1 time zone, the match time would have appeared as “19:00” for them, and if they thought it was GMT, that would explain them being an hour late.

Just a reminder that the first season target is coming up - to have played at least 2 matches by 2022-09-18T23:59:00Z. Competitors who have not played 2 matches by then will be on the warning list, and will be removed from the season if they fail to meet any of the other season targets.
Also, if you have an opponent who is more than 15 minutes late for an agreed match, can you please let me know (either via private message here in the forum, or using the Contact Us page on Memory League), so that I can record them as a DNS (Did Not Start), and they will not receive a point for the 4-0 loss. Thanks!

I once again had a problem with an early frozen screen on my recording program while recording a league match when I played with Daniel today. 
The following competitors have missed the first target and will be removed from the season if they do not meet all remaining targets. (See the top post above for the targets.)

I think I’ll just spectate unsure of proceedings coupled with that I’ve never competed in memory, thus once i have gotten to grasps with out of season challengers and comfortable then you’ll see more of me

Hi Simon! Could you please further explain the mechanism of promotion in this Season 16?
Let’s take my division 3 (a,b,c): there will be three “amber” players (i.e. the ones ranked second place in each sub-division). These three will have to compete with each other, and the player who wins will finally do the playoffs with the “amber” player ranked 2nd-bottom in the upper division 2?
Sorry, but it’s my first Season, and I’m still trying to understand the basics

Hi @emanueleraini,
Of the three second-placed players in division 3a/3b/3c, the two with the best results will have a playoff match against a division 2 competitor.
To calculate the “best results”, we look at the average points per match, because some divisions have more matches than others.
In this case, the best of those second-placed players will automatically be promoted, because there is no 7th-placed competitor in division 2a to compete against. The second of the second-placed players will have a playoff match against the 7th-placed competitor in division 2b. The third of the second-placed competitors in division 3a/3b/3c will not have a playoff match.

The playoff matches are the same as regular season matches except that a tiebreak is played if the score reaches 4-4. For the tiebreak, each player chooses two events to eliminate, and the tiebreak event is chosen at random from the remaining two events.
The semi-finals should be played by 2022-11-13T23:59:00Z.

As per the rules (p. 9): “The semi-finals must be played at the latest 2 weeks after the last round of the regular season, and the final at the latest two weeks after the last semi-final has been played.”
In accordance to that, the two semi-finals have been played last weekend. The final would have to be played, according to my understanding, by the end of Saturday, 26 November at the latest.
