I only know of anki. I’d love to know what else is out there.
Well, in terms of contemplative reading/thinking, Xiphos is an open-source bible study program. It includes the Greek, and commentary (it looks like the SWORD project’s site has a lot of commentary, but I haven’t checked it out yet.) There is a study program for the Koran, as well: Zekr, listed on Ubuntu’s software center. It looks promising from its website. I haven’t found programs for other texts, religious or note like, for instance, the Dhammapada, the Iliad, Les Châtiments, the Tao Te Ching, the Kalavala, etc. There are other educational programs out there, but most of the memory programs (other than flashcard programs) aim at short-term memory.
