Hello! My name is Augustine, and I am 16 years old. I love literature, and I decided that I want to memorize Paradise Lost, which I read two years ago. I decided this very recently, but I am very motivated and am planning to devote two hours a day. All that I know of the art of memorization comes from what I learned from an hour on these forums and reading Moonwalking With Einstein. I don’t feel like I have a clear sense of the path I should take. I would not like to spend too much time working on technique before I start my project. I’m thinking I might use a combination of mnemonics for memoria rerum and rote for verbatim. What are my options for memorizing a long poem? All advice appreciated!
