Poems I've Memorized

Just wanted to share what I’ve memorized in the past few months. It’s not much but it does inspire me to keep going and memorize more.

If by Rudyard Kipling
Incident by Countee Cullen
Harlem (Dream Deferred) by Langston Hughes
Richard Cory by Edward Arlington Robinson

I’ve also memorized Psalm 1 from the Bible.

I plan on memorizing these next: The Cremation of Sam McGee, Ozymandias, Funeral Blues, Casey at the Bat, The Road Not Taken, Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening

I used a journey for “If” and was going to do it for all of them. However, I switched to just using the linking method. I figure linking is fine and I don’t have to try to come up with so many journeys. Although I was thinking I need a journey to store all of the poems that I have memorized. Does anyone else do this?

A memory palace for poems I’ve memorized would be a good idea. I used to store quotations in a library in Massachusetts. Maybe I will use a library here for poetry…

Cool, droggjr. You’re a one-person poetry slam!

Do you memorise every word or break it into chunks
