I look back on younger days and remember how I use to think of how awful it would be to make a mistake when playing onstage and how that would kill my efforts to work or practice. There must be lots worse things the mind throws up to dissuade you. You got to cultivate the desire and motivation that will overpower fear thoughts. If you entertain them they will come on stronger. Interesting. Opens up a whole bunch of questions about the mind. You have to challenge irrational thinking and push through it. It’s like fears are ghosts or bluffers. I went to a Bob Dylan concert last year and the band was hitting a lot of sour notes. They certainly didn’t give it a second thought.
