New Member, England

I live in the south west of England. During my later teenage years I became aware of how I ‘see’ things in my head is not how most others see them. It was decades before I came across the condition synesthesia. I have 3D patterns in my head for numbers (zero to around 10 billion), dates (3000BC to 2100AD), days of the week, months of the year, and the alphabet. I love numbers and maps.
I would like to understand my condition better in the context of others with very similar brain processes. I can relate exactly to some of your recent contributors.
I have never met anyone with a similar experience.

Welcome! I also have synesthesia. To me numbers have personalities and traits.

If I may ask, how do you know you have 3D patterns up to 10 billion?

My synesthesia has no boundaries really, like synesthesia is supposed to be, so I wonder how it comes yours only goes to 10 billion?

I used 10 billion just as a marker where the series fades into oblivion. I have various bends/cormers in the number series starting at 10, 20, 100, 1000, 20000, 1000000.
It is like a snake with definite 3D elements to a more or less 2D series.

Interesting. So after 10 billion it is just one fuzzy experience?

Because numbers above 10 billion are not ‘everyday’ there is no need to home in on this area hence it is not so clear.

Is it number form synesthesia?

Welcome, HectorJ

That is fascinating about your number images.
