More TODOs for 2017/18

  • Come up with a semi-rigid (and lighter and smarter than now) training schedule, including:
    a) memory drills (large visualization and linking reviews, speed runs)
    b) dexterity drills (USE REAL CARDS!)
    c) various attempts of the official disciplines

  • Strenghten the links between Originals and Shadows for cards.

  • Adding details & behaviors to the characters from my systems

  • Think of pre-made specific interactions for all my loci

  • BUILD MORE palaces

  1. review without memorizing
  2. memorize words and binaries or the second halves of the long numbers events so as to get familiar with them
  3. start using them for shorter events
  • Words => follow up each attempt with a review and make note of difficult ones

  • Names => find some kind of list of international names and get familiar with them …

  • compress card and number keywords to one or two syllables maximum

  • add actions to my iamges for cards

  • MORE palaces!!

  • Learn my book of 250 swedish expressions

  • Get started on difficult swedish words

  • read through all the gathered material with tough names

  • identify the most difficult Cards combos and find ways of accelerating the summoning of these images (not only through the keywords)

  • try to memorize binaries in 3x3 blocks instead of row per row

  • try using a metronom with cards in training

… to be continued …

Cool goals. I need to really start being more aggressive about that.

More ideas for now or later:

  • drills to improve object-to-object linking in long chains (always onlu focusing on the last two images, not the beginning of a chain)

  • identify difficult images and do drills on them

  • train to link actual images, removing the card- or number-reading from the process

More for names:
Learn the complete names of characters from TV shows and films as well as the actors’.

More tech stuff:

I’ve coded a page that lets me review my systems and measures the time it takes me to conjure up the images for the different digit- or card-combinations. It’s kinda neat and I can paste the result into excel and add some nice colors and all, but I’d like to automate it all, so:

  • Connect a database for digits and cards so I can keep track of the evolution of the reaction time for the different element, filter out the aberrant results (I sometimes press 'Next' too early) and know which images I need to put more focus on
  • Add a page where I can input the tweaks made to the images
  • Add a similar page to the system-training one, except with the possibility of doing runs (80 digits, 52 cards, with or without recall) so that I can see the influence of the linking for the different images on the overall memo time

What language did you use?

Right now it’s in javascript, if I have time I’ll add some PHP to connect to a database.

I was trying to find free websites and apps. But none of them turns out to be useful. They didn’t have reaction time individual for cards.

It would be great if you share this webpage for everyone. Then anyone can train effectively to become stronger. It would be helpful for everyone.
