Memorizing determiners, conjunction words, ect

Nouns and verbs seem easy enough to use mnemonics to learn because they are very visual. But how do you go about memorizing words like “a,” “and,” “what,” yes," “this,” and so forth? Especially when those words sound nothing like English equivalent?

Can you give me some examples of how you have done it?

The very first thing you have to memorise that most people forget is;
“The basics of memorising is to convert the data into tangible images” :slight_smile:

You can use the image generation methods such as;
Sounds like | Rhymes like | Looks like

A - Ape | Hay | Eiffel Tower
And - Hand | Ant
What - Wand | Wart
Where - Werewolf
Why - Hive | Whale
Yes - Thumbs Up | Dress | Jets | Vest
No - Thumbs Down | Bow
This - Kiss | Lips | Pointing index finger
That - Dart | Rat | Tarot

Once you find an image that makes more sense than others, make that image permanent. Change with the secondary image option if it’s giving you issues while memorising each time.
