For what it’s worth I’ll outline my process:

1. Start with ten numbers. Write down the letter codes for the number for each of the ten numbers. Then create a word from them. Then select an image suggested by that word. Then create a crazy story using those ten words. Taperecord that story to listen to a couple of times later. Count exercises like situps using those words. Then I used the numbers as loci for memorizing playing cards against. That took care of the sequential learning.

Then to randomize access to the words I created flashcards and shuffled them and tested with them. Then for long-term I added them to a quiz that showed 3 random 3-digit numbers to memorize together as practice. If this is at all interesting I’d be glad to write up an example of this process.

Best of luck
Dale
