This morning I received my Neuroscience News email and it has the following article which was of interest to me as I have Aphantasia. The article appears in Neuroscience News June 9 edition. Briefly about 4% of the population is born with it unable to see images. For more information see the article on [Neurosciencenews.com](http://Neurosciencenews.com).

I’m interested in others who have Aphantasia and how they get around it when using memory techniques. John

Think I’m meant to reply.
I don’t have aphantasia, although I’m lower on the spectrum. I can visual a stick figure of a blurry silhouette, but never details. I don’t really use memory techniques…that’s why I’m here. But I’m usually just too lazy. Instead, I take absurd amounts of pictures, so I can look back on my camera roll, as if that’s a sort of memory.

There is a training method called the “military method” that is supposed to help improve it. I don’t know if it has been researched.
